Drilling-milling machine with x - y - z continuous interpolation
Ready for Industry 4.0, the MDE20 drilling and tapping machine is numerically controlled with two brushless motors, one for spindle rotation and one for the downfeed. The two axes are continuously interpolated and the movement is via a ball screw. Encoders on the motors continuously control the position and speed of the axes. Synchronisation between mechanical parts and high-precision interpolation allow ‘rigid tapping’ to be performed. MDE 20 can be combined with a rotary table for continuous cycle machining operations.
